  • Arriving in Barcelona by plane:

El Prat Airport is the main international airport in the area, located just south of Barcelona and just a 20-minute drive from the Port Vell area. El Prat Airport has regular flights to more than 215 destinations and numerous connections to large European cities, making Barcelona an easy, quick gateway to nearly anywhere in the world.

From the airport, there are many public transport options to take you into Barcelona or the metropolitan area (metro, bus, suburban trains, etc.), although there is currently no direct route to the boat show venue. So, you would have to take a train to the centre of Barcelona and then a bus or metro to Port Vell.

  • Taking the metro from the airport to the boat show:

Take the Airport Train (R2 Norte) to Passeig de Gràcia. If your flight arrives at Terminal 1 (T1), you won’t be able to walk directly to the train station, as it is 4 km away. You’ll have to take the free shuttle bus outside that connects all the terminals. When you get to the Passeig de Gràcia station, switch to the metro (L3 – green line) and get off at Drassanes. When you leave the metro station, you can take a bus from there to the various sections of the port or go by foot, taking advantage to visit the whole area.

  • Taking the bus from the airport to the boat show:

Port Vell is just 15 km from the Barcelona Airport. This means it takes roughly 20 minutes in private car and we recommend this option, as it is the easiest and most comfortable. Plus, this service is available at no additional cost for all our clients.

Private transport from the airport to the boat show:

Port Vell is just 15 km from the Barcelona Airport. This means it takes roughly 20 minutes in private car and we recommend this option, as it is the easiest and most comfortable. Plus, this service is available at no additional cost for all our clients.

So, when you book any of our apartments, we take care of arranging everything for your transfer from the airport at absolutely no additional cost.

  • Arriving by train - Barcelona Sants

If you arrive in Barcelona by train, you’ll probably come directly to Barcelona Sants: the city’s main station with daily connections to numerous cities in Spain and France.

From Barcelona Sants, you can take the metro to Drassanes (L3 – green line) to get to the Port of Barcelona, where you can take a bus to the various areas of the port or go on foot if you don’t know the area yet.
