The apartment is located at the quaint district of Poblenou, where live goes by between the sea and the greatest parks in Barcelona (Ciutadella and Diagonal Mar). This district is ideal for those who want to discover the touristy Barcelona as well as becoming impregnated with the city daily life.
The Poblenou district has a crowded Rambla (200m) core centre of the social, commercial and cultural life. You will also find the Unió Market (Mercado de la Unió) at 100m, full of all kinds of fresh products. There are several chimneys, as the district was the Catalan industrial capital at the beginning of the XIX century, as well as many well cared beaches (300m) where you will be able to enjoy the Mediterranean water and nice walks around the seaside.

Please find below some suggestions regarding places of interest close to your apartment, where you will be able to enjoy the city.
Gastronomy:
- Els Pescadors, Plaza Prim 1, very close to the apartment (70m). This restaurant is specialized in rice and high quality fresh fish.
You will also find many other restaurants on the Olympic port, a great variety of choices. From high quality seafood restaurants to fast food ones. There are also many bars, pubs and a disco, where the youngest ones will have a lot of fun.
If you feel like having an ice cream or a good horchata (sweet drink made of tiger nuts and sugar), you can go Tio Che, right on the Poblenou Rambla.
Getting to know the city:
You can walk to the beach from the apartment. You will find the Olympic Village on one side. This district was built during the Olympic Games in 1992 and it opened Barcelona to the sea, recovering the seaside of Barcelona. If you walk to the other side, you will get to Diagonal Mar, the last district in the city. It was totally rebuilt to host the Cultures Forum (Forum de las Culturas) in 2006, with skyscrapers, modern buildings and huge green zones that gave the city a new skyline.

From the Airport
i. Barcelona- El Prat
You can take the train (RENFE) or the bus (AIRBUS) to go from the airport to the city centre. Both will take you to Plaza Cataluña.
In Plaza Urquinaona (50m from Plaza Cataluña) you will find the yellow metro line. You should get off at POBLENOU (6 stops). The apartment is located 100m away from the station.
You can also take a taxi from the airport right to the apartment.
ii. Girona Airport
You can take a bus at the Girona airport that will take you to the North Station in Barcelona (Estación del Norte). Take the metro line 1 (red) up to PLAZA URQUINAONA (1 stop). You should then take the yellow line and get off at POBLENOU (6 stops). The apartment is located 100m away from the station.
You could also take a taxi from the North Station to the apartment.
From the port
We recommend you to take a taxi, but you can also take the metro.
Walk to Las Ramblas (the street starts at the Cristóbal Colón monument). Walking up Las Ramblas you will find the metro line 3 (100m), DRASSANES station (green line). You should take this line up to PASSEIG de GRACIA station. Once there, you should take the yellow line to La Pau. The apartment is located at the CIUTADELLA- VILA OLIMPICA stop.
